    1. To slow down a lesson, press your finger on the piano keyboard within the lesson and drag your finger up. You’ll see a number that ranges between 25% and 150% of the original tempo. Release your finger when the number is set to your desired tempo. If the piano keyboard is hidden behind the lesson controls, tap anywhere on the screen to hide the controls first. Note that you can practice the lesson’s pattern in one key at a time in this mode. When you’re ready to practice the lesson in its entirety, press play and it’ll revert back to 100% for the ideal speed for voice training.

  1. Hi there,

    Great job guys!!!!!
This is my favorite app! I was waiting for someone to make it!
Could you include a control for speed?
    that be great 🙂

    Thanks and keep it up!

    Steph

    1. Hi Steph, there’s already a way to control the speed. Simply press your finger on the piano keyboard within the lessons and slide it up. You’ll see a number that ranges from %25 to %150. Release your finger when the number is set to the speed you want. Note that this allows you to practice the pattern of a lesson in one key at a time. Once you’re ready for the entire lesson, the tempo will revert back to 100%.

  2. Do you have a pdf version of the user’s manual? I find it easier to read paper based stuff.

    Tks

    1. Hi Joe, I’m afraid we don’t currently have a PDF version of the manual. We’ll keep your request in mind for our next update to the user’s manual.

    1. Hi Andy, it sounds like you are inside the Orientation pages. To get to actual lessons, please first go back to the main list of training programs by tapping on the back-arrow shaped button at the top left corner labeled “Training” (or tap the “Training” tab at the bottom until you see the “Voice Training” and “More Exercises” sections). Once you’re there, you should see all the other training programs such as Breathing Essentials, Beginner Program 1, Exploring Head & Chest Voice, etc. (if you don’t, expand “Voice Training” by tapping on it). Tap on one of those programs to open it and tap on a lesson inside to bring up the lesson. The Play button should now be active for all lessons except for the Posture lesson.

    1. Yes, this is correct. The “Exploring Head Voice” is a free-flowing type lesson, where you are given an example and asked to make similar sounds. As you’ll hear in the Male and Female audio examples, there’s no specific note to sing, hence no note bubbles. Please see the instructions for the lesson for more details on what to focus on, and listen to the audio examples for the type of sound you should be making. The display will still give you feedback about your pitch, but the main thing to focus on in that lesson is the resonance you should feel in your head.

  3. Hi,
In Guided Voice Lessons, I have done Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 several times each. The Posture lesson is locked and when I touch it, a message says “earn a star in Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 to unlock.” How can I earn a star in each lesson?

    1. You earn stars by accurately singing the highlighted notes that the piano plays. You only earn stars in the exercises that have target note bubbles; exercises that don’t have target notes do not give any stars. “Beginner 1” and “Beginner 2” have 4 exercises each; the first 2 exercises don’t give any stars, while the last two in each do.

The app rewards you for both your accuracy AND range. If your vocal range setting is too narrow, you may not always be able to reach the number of stars you need even with 100% accuracy. You can adjust your vocal range setting in the “My Vocal Range” tab, which is accessible via the piano-shaped icon at the bottom-left of the screen when you open the app.

  4. Hello,

I love the app and it is really helping me improve! I look forward to cloud synchronization, as it will make it easier to stay up-to -date.

Can you tell me what the “achievement” score means and what the different achievement levels are?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi, glad to hear you’re enjoying the app. The achievement score is simply the sum of all your best scores from all of the exercises you have completed. So, in a way, it’s your total experience points. The number inside the trophy shape is an achievement level calculated based on the achievement score. It gives you a goal to aim for to reach the next level, so it’s a motivational feature. As you advance through the program, gaining a new level gets more and more difficult. If you pull down the trophy/score bar area, you’ll see a number to the right of the score bar. That number is the score you need to reach the next level. The length of the bar also indicates where you are in the current trophy level.

If you haven’t practiced a lesson in a long time, you may see the ring around some of your training programs retract, which will also cause your achievement score to retract. When this happens, simply do the lessons in the affected training programs, and your achievement score will recover to its maximum value even if you don’t match your earlier best scores.
