Privacy Policies
Introduction
We are a small company and we do our best to minimize any data collection in our products and on our websites. As such, we do not host any external ads or knowingly use any external analytics/tracking tools in any of our apps or websites.
We encourage you to access our websites using the https protocol (by entering https:// in front of our page names in the address bar, such as "https://www.erolstudios.com/Contact.html"), to prevent any eavesdropping on your communication with our webserver, such as when you send us a message via our contact page.
Erol Studios may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This version of the policy is effective from April 3, 2019.
Please see the sections below for additional information about our different pages and products.
Our Main Website
This section applies to our main website at www.erolstudios.com, which is the collection of pages that have only one / after the "erolstudios.com" in the address bar.
Our main site does not use cookies. However, our User's Manual sub-sites do in some occasions, such as when you leave a message, as outlined in their own privacy policies. Please see below for the links.
Erol Singer's Studio (Software/App)
We do not knowingly collect any information while you use the app, with the following exceptions:
- If you access the User's Manual from within the app, this opens up a browser to the app's online user's manual, which is located at www.erolstudios.com/SingersStudio-UserManual. Your access to the user's manual is governed by our User's Manual Sub-Websites policies outlined above.
- If you use the Contact Us or the various feedback buttons within the app (such as problem report and feature request buttons), this opens up an email compose page where you can enter details about why you are contacting us. You can choose to send the email to us, or cancel it without sending anything to us. The email is prepopulated with information about the name and version number of the app you are using, the device the app is running on, the operating system version, and license/subscription status. If you wish not to share this information with us, you can delete it before sending the email to us. However, doing so may hinder our ability to provide technical support to you. If you decide to send the email, we will receive an email from you which contains standard personally identifiable email fields such as your email address. We use your email address to respond to your emails, and we may share it with our contractors (such as our voice teacher) in order to answer your questions. We do not otherwise share your email address with 3rd parties (barring law-enforcement requests/reasons), and we do not enter it to any email lists without your explicit request and/or consent.
- The app, while running, may occasionally connect to our webserver briefly to get any updated messages we may have for our users, such as news about a new version of the app or updated daily singing tips. As per standard Internet protocols, our webserver temporarily knows your IP address in order to send a response to the app's request. Neither the request nor the response contains any user-specific information other than your IP address.
- If you have enabled sharing of Diagnostics & Analystics information (or any similarly named feature of your platform) with app developers on your device, we may receive information about crashes, as well as aggregate statistics about how users use our apps. This information does not contain any personally identifiable information, to the best of our knowledge. Depending on the platform you're running Erol Singer's Studio on, please see either Apple's or Microsoft's privacy policies for more information on this.
All other information that the app collects (such as your singing pitch, training history, etc.) is stored locally is not ever sent to us unless you explicitly send us an email (or any other form of communication) that includes such information.
Note that the information that the app stores locally may automatically be copied to your cloud account (iCloud on iOS, OneDrive on Windows 10) for your own use through the app, as supported by your operating system. See your operating system's privacy policy for more information on cloud storage and cloud backups.
